Just 25 kms north of Perth lies the Joondalup Learning Precinct (JLP), the only known educational facility in the world incorporating a university, police academy and technical and further education college.

Located in the heart of Perth’s modern satellite City of Joondalup, the Precinct is made up of the three co-located education campuses of Edith Cowan University, West Coast Institute of Training and the Western Australia Police Academy. The City of Joondalup is a strong supporter of the precinct.

JLP Mentoring Program

Staff from Edith Cowan University, the WA Police Academy, West Coast Institute of Training and the City of Joondalup have the unique opportunity to take part in a joint, cross-organisational mentoring program supported by the Joondalup Learning Precinct Board.

The program aims to bring together staff to enrich, enhance and share experiences and to strengthen relationships between organisation partners in the precinct.

Leading Edge Program

Leadership is a professional trait fundamental to all aspects of any business. Ensuring that talented individuals moving up to middle management learn the necessary skills and ideas that distinguish leaders from managers is a critical issue in many organisations.

The Leading Edge Program was initially offered through the Centre for Leadership, an initiative of the Joondalup Learning Precinct (JLP) partners. The program is now part of ECU's offerings and is still delivered through the shared facilities of the three precinct partners' campuses.
