Centre for Leadership

Leadership is a professional trait fundamental to all aspects of any business. Ensuring that talented individuals moving up to middle management learn the necessary skills and ideas that distinguish leaders from managers is a critical issue in many organisations.

The Leading Edge Program is offered through the Centre for Leadership, an initiative of the Joondalup Learning Precinct
(JLP) partners. The program will be delivered through the shared facilities of the three precinct partners’ campuses.

Inspector Peter Hatch"I decided to enrol in this program because I wanted to achieve a better understanding organisational leadership to assist my career development and to benefit my own organisation. The program emphasised the importance of reflection and reinforced the importance of the 'individual' within the organisation. The most beneficial aspect of this program have been the networks I've developed with individuals from other organisations as well as enhancing my understanding of the leadership role within my own organisation."

"The study experience has been pleasant. The lecturers are first rate
and adept at translating theories into tangible work place applications."

The most beneficial aspect of this program for me has been the sharing and learning from fellow participants and key note speakers. It’s been a fantastic opportunity to embrace learning, develop new skills and reflect on current practice. The facilitators have been excellent."

Kelsie Donovan"I had been looking for a Leadership Program that not only focussed on classroom learning about the principles and theories but also included aspects of hands on learning by being able to implement and test these principles in the workplace as part of the learning process. This program has met all these needs combined with group reflection and discussion as well as working towards obtaining a formal qualification."
