JLP Mentoring Program
Staff from Edith Cowan University, the WA Police Academy, West Coast Institute of Training and the City of Joondalup will have the unique opportunity to take part in a joint, cross-organisational mentoring program supported by the Joondalup Learning Precinct Board.
The program aims to bring together staff to enrich, enhance and share experiences and to strengthen relationships between organisation partners in the Precinct.
It is expected that this process will:
• Develop individuals and improve their performance and effectiveness in the workplace
• Provide opportunities to develop networks
• Strengthen inter-agency relationships
• Improve communication
• Provide a sustainable support mechanism for staff
• Support for professional development activities
Evaluation of mentor programs shows that the mentors find personal satisfaction in sharing their skills and experience with others. Similarly, mentees have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge base and learn from a more experienced person.
Expressions of interest and eligibility for participation in the 2010 program have now closed. For more information on the program or to register your interest for future opportunities, please contact:
